Cecil Forsyth, "Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright" for viola and piano
Never before published! This short piece was written by Forsyth in 1927. He dedicated the piece to Rebecca Clarke, and gave the manuscripts He dedicated the piece to Rebecca Clarke, and gave the manuscripts to her as well (there is also a song, and a version for solo viola, woodwinds, brass and harp). This atmospheric piece would be accessible for an advanced intermediate player, the only potential issue being a step-wise climb up to 7th position on the A string.
