Sunil Santha was a Sri Lankan educator and musician who, through his music, sought to change disparaging attitudes towards Sinhalese language and culture in the mid-20th century. "Olu Pipila" was one of his early efforts to this end, and is a beloved song in Sri Lanka. This lovely arrangement captures the folk-like sounds of the original.
String parts, including a Violin III substitute for viola, are playable in 1st-3rd positions. Cello is pizzicato throughout. Score and parts included.
